During pregnancy and birth all women deserve to be cared for, listened to, and supported. Our ancestors knew and practiced this all over the world. Anastasia is a doula who believes this ancestral knowledge is vital to a positive birth experience. Medical interventions are a gift and useful when wanted or needed, but we have lost the importance of seeing the whole person, their innate capabilities, and their desires during birth. Anastasia believes that you get to choose what you want during this vulnerable time, and you should have people there that believe in you and support you. She is a birth doula that is passionate about helping parents through this time, and being there for them in a supportive and wholistic way.

Alex has been a labor and postpartum doula since march of 2020 and a childbirth educator since January of 2023. Her passion for women’s health is matched by her ongoing pursuit of knowledge within the field. She would describe her doula style as unbiased and individualized, providing evidence-based information first to help families achieve a positive birth experience, whatever that may look like for them. She believes birth is the most transformative experience one can have and when they are informed, supported, and confident in their decisions it makes all the difference. She is CAPPA-trained as a labor doula and is certified through ProDoula & ABI as a labor and postpartum doula. She is also a certified HypnoBirthing childbirth educator. In addition to her certifications, Alex has attended numerous trainings, including Lamaze Childbirth Educator Training, Spinning Babies, and Postpartum Support International’s Understanding Perinatal Anxiety and Mood Disorders.
